Short bio note:

DANA PERCEC (b.1976) is reader in English literature at the West University of Timisoara. Her main interests are English literature, Shakespeare studies, cultural studies and gender studies.

She is the author of several books on Shakespeare (the latest, Reading Cultural History in William Shakespeare's Plays, appeared in 2014 at Jate Press in Hungary) and co-author of several collections of essays on contemporary Romanian topics (Logica elefantilor, All, 2014, Metafizica biciclistilor, All, 2014). She coordinates a series devoted to literary genres at Cambridge Scholars Publishing (Romance. The History of a Genre, 2013, Reading the Fantastic Imagination. The Avatars of a Literary Genre, 2014, A Serious Genre. The Apology of Children's Literature, in print). She collaborates with the general editor of the new translation of Shakespeare's Complete Works into Romanian, at Paralela 45 and Tracus Arte, with prefaces and introductory studies.

Historian, chair holder of the Modern History of Europe and Modern History of Romania at the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, Department of History within the West University of Timişoara. Coordinator (from 2008) of the “Reinhart Koselleck”International Doctoral School of Conceptual History, set up in cooperation with Professor Armin Heinen of the Institute of History, University of Aachen, and financially supported by the Volkswagen Foundation. Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies in History of the West University of Timişoara (from 2011), and of the Museum of Fine Arts Timişoara (from 2013).

Short bio note:

Is a freelance historian of ideas, essayist, translator, and consultant based in Bucharest. He has studied English and French at the University of Iași, and History at the EHESS in Paris. He has taught at the University of Michigan, the University of Bucharest, and the Central European University in Budapest (where he also founded Pasts, Inc. Center for Historical Studies). He has conducted research at institutes of advanced study in Stanford, Vienna, Essen, and Berlin, as well as in other centers of learning. He has published widely on intellectual history, history of ideas, historical theory and history of historiography, as well as on Romania in European contexts.
